A few weeks back, I saw Maren Morris and RaeLynn at one of the last U.S. dates of GIRL The World Tour.
Not to be dramatic, but if there was to be an award for Best Tour, it would definitely have to go to Maren Morris and RaeLynn for this amazing and magical show.
I was front row, so I was able to experience the magic first hard. There was smoke, there was bubbles, it was a blast.
Just some background information…GIRL The World Tour was the fourth time I saw Maren Morris. The first time I saw her, she was opening for Keith Urban a few years ago. The second time, she was opening for Niall Horan last August. The third time was last December, she was doing a ‘guitar pull’ with four other artists for my favorite local country station. I was not a fan of her for a long, long time. In fact, her music finally started to grow on me after I saw her with Niall. By the time I saw her for her own tour, I was a huge fan. Also, I was a fan of RaeLynn back in 2013-2014 and I saw her once in 2014.
RaeLynn was the perfect opening act for this tour. I think the only other person that would have been perfect for this tour would have been Danielle Bradbery. It was great to finally see her again. It was cool to be one of the original fans and to finally get to see her again. I’m excited for her to release new music, she played some new songs on this tour, and they were so catchy. Her bass player gave me a guitar pick after her set as well. Her outfit for this show was glitter and denim, two of my favorite things. I need both her and Maren’s entire wardrobe for this tour for all of my country shows this year!
This tour has the best production I’ve ever seen. Maren had light up steps and a screen behind her. The lighting was very cool as well. Maren played songs from both of her albums, so it was a nice variety. At the end, after she left the stage, she even had credits rolling on the screen, as if we were watching a movie. I also caught a drum stick.
It was a sold out show, and Maren definitely is an amazing performer. She reminds me of Miranda Lambert, in the best way. I recommend seeing her to anyone, even my friends who don’t like country music. GIRL The World Tour is definitely the show to beat for me this year. 10/10 would see Maren a fifth time.
